THE FUTURE OF FILMMAKING
ADVANCING
THE WAY FILMMAKERS WORK
The Innovators Film Festival, hosted by Loyola Marymount University, is an international platform that celebrates the future of filmmaking through the integration of artificial intelligence and technology. Open to high school seniors, college students, and independent filmmakers worldwide, the festival aims to inspire a new wave of creators who are pushing the boundaries of storytelling with cutting-edge tools.
Recently named one of the Top Five Film Schools in the country by The Hollywood Reporter, LMU is the perfect backdrop for this groundbreaking festival, which showcases the next generation of creative talent. This year’s festival welcomes short films (1-10 minutes) with at least one element of AI involved in the production, whether it’s in the writing, post-production, or visual effects. While AI is a central focus, the festival encourages submissions across all genres and styles that emphasize creativity, innovation, and bold storytelling.
With a strong focus on community and collaboration, the festival will feature panel discussions, workshops, and guest speakers from leading names in the film and tech industries, alongside film screenings that showcase the most groundbreaking work from emerging filmmakers.
